Inspiration
for our Journey
To follow are inspirational thoughts to assist you in your journey of overcoming your godless desire and seeking to be at the feet of Jesus. Inspiration: April 7, 2011 Is your heart being enlightened or are you still trying to get up the strength to do this on your own? Pray for the eyes of your heart to be enlightened to the hope and power of Jesus Christ. Too many times we try to “figure out” how we are going to make changes in our lives on our own. While doing so, we are missing how God is speaking to our heart to enlighten us as to how we can pull from His hope and His power. It doesn’t take long for the dark feelings of discouragement, disillusionment, and defeat to fill our hearts when we look to our own strength. Look to God. Look for the ways He is working in your life. Ask Him to reveal how you are trying to do it on your own. He will show you the hope and power beyond yourself; His hope and His power that you so desperately need. Inspiration: April 6, 2011 Have you realized the real reason we need to keep asking God for wisdom and revelation? It is not only a reason it is a purpose for our lives. The real reason for grounding ourselves in the truth and deepening our prayer life with Him is so we can know Him better. The more we operate on the truth of who we are and the reality that we need to depend more of God's strength, the closer to God we will become. Embrace each step of the journey to overcome because it is a privilege like none other. The privilege to know God more intimately. (Ephesians 2:13) Inspiration: April 5, 2011 Are you identifying yourself by your relationship with God or by your circumstances? We were made to be set free from the bondage of our godless desire. Our identity in Christ gives us a new life in Him that is Christ-like. Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. (2 Corinthians 5:17). In Christ, we have a life that is holy, new, loved and confident. Don't allow yourself to partake in anything that negates from your true identity in Christ. You were made for more. The truth of your identity as a child of God empowers you to believe that living in victory is sweeter than any benefit you will receive from your godless desires. <April 1 - April 4 Inspiration> |
