Inspiration
for our Journey
To follow are inspirational thoughts to assist you in your journey of overcoming your godless desire and seeking to be at the feet of Jesus. Inspiration: March 31, 2011 There is victory in Jesus! Are you ready to taste the victory? Godless desires are the enemy we must defeat. They take our focus off Jesus and keep us from desiring more of Him. Your Heavenly Father wants you to remember that you were made for more! More than this failure . . . more than this cycle of defeat . . . more than being ruled by rationalizations, guilt and shame. You were made for victory. We have a glorious inheritance in Him and our godless desires do not lead us towards claiming these riches! Inspiration: March 30, 2011 Are you tired of the negative outcomes when seeking your godless desire? Whatever the desire is, because it is not of God there will be negative outcomes. Even if the desire momentarily fulfills your flesh, negativity will come. It is only when we seek God that we may sow with tears but reap songs of joy. (Psalm 126) Our tears usually come from the guilt we feel when convicted of our sinful action. However, there is joy that comes from our remembering Christ and what He has done for us. Seeking God never brings negative outcome only joy! Inspiration: March 29, 2011 Recall the rich man in Matthew 19:16-22. He kept all of the commandments but still felt he lacked. Jesus told him to sell all his possessions, then come and follow Him. The man went away sad because he desired his possessions more than he desired Jesus. Jesus wants us to give up the one thing we desire more than Him. Are you ready to do so? If not, ask Him to give you the "want to" to overcome and focus more on Him. Inspiration: March 28, 2011 "I always fail there, and I always will." Has the enemy implanted this deception into your thoughts? Recall that God works in supernatural ways bringing about miracles that are uncommon. If we allow ourselves to be deceived and think we will always fail, then we are not remembering the power we have in Jesus. Cry out to Him like the blind man did in Luke 18:38-43. He wouldn't let the crowds hush him and neither should you. Don't let the enemy quiet your cries to Jesus by believing in the lie that you are a failure. You have the power of Jesus! Empowered by Him you can do ALL things!! |
